How does the Intelligent Battery Guard work?

The Intelligent Battery Guard that is attached to the vehicles battery will disconnect the load from the battery when it detects a drain beneath a certain level, saving energy to restart the vehicle when needed. This means that if you mistakenly leave the lights or radio on, or there is an unknown short in the system, Battery Guard makes sure that your car will start.

How does the Intelligent Battery Guard prevent your car from being stolen?

The Intelligent Battery Guard will disconnect the load from the battery, which means, there is no electrical power in the vehicle, in that way a thief can't "hot wire" the vehicle because there is no energy source to start the engine.

Only the driver can reset the load by pressing the remote control button or by pressing the manual reset knob on the Battery Guard unit.

Will the Intelligent Battery Guard disconnect the alarm devices?

The Intelligent Battery Guard will completely disconnect the power if it detects a drain driving the battery voltage beneath a certain level,  this is the basic guarantee of the Intelligent Battery Guard – to ensure the driver could restart the vehicle all the time.

Of course, any accessory, such as clocks, alarms, computers, memory settings or any devices can be connected directly to the positive post of the battery. There is a special connector on the intelligent battery guard, the alarm or the other accessories will still be energized.

The Eliminator type designed a setting protection. In daily use , when the driver press ARM button after parking  the vehicle,  if there is no serious draining ,  the driver do not need to ret any memory device since the Intelligent Battery Guard designed 2A current flowing inside the vehicle to keep power supply for all Memory and alarm devices.

What is the energy consumption of the Intelligent Battery Guard?

The Intelligent Battery Guard uses 10 Milli Ampere during normal operation, after disconnecting the load from the battery, the consumption is next to zero.

What devices can use the Intelligent Battery Guard?

All types of vehicle from passenger cars to light trucks to heavy trucks, buses, tractors, RV's, SUV's motorcycles, handicap vehicles etc; marine boats, yachts etc; aircrafts; other devices with batteries.
