Eliminator

1. FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS

The Eliminator is an innovative product in the Intelligent Battery Guard family. it continually monitors the battery charge, and automatically isolates the battery from the electrical system if it detects that the power is falling below the level that is required to start the engine. This ensures that there is always enough power to start the engine.

It is also a unique anti-theft device, after parks the vehicle, The Eliminator immediately enters anti-theft mode by pressing the supplied remote control, start power of the engine is disconnected automatically, no one could start the vehicle even with the key, only the remote control could reconnect the engine power and by that the driver could restart the vehicle.

2. INSTALLATION

One open-end 17mm and one adjustable wrench, standard and Phillips screwdrivers.

Installation Steps

Step 1: Disconnecting The Battery Cables

A)  Disconnect the black negative cable from the negative post on the battery.
B)  Disconnect the red positive cable from the positive post on the battery.

Step 2: Connecting the Intelligent Battery Guard

A:  Connect the Positive Clamp set on the positive side of the Intelligent Battery Guard, the positive
      side of the Intelligent Battery Guard is located on the side of the unit that has 12V+ printed on it.
B:  Connect the Aluminum Positive Post set on the other side of the Intelligent Battery Guard.
C:  Connect the positive clamp onto the battery.

Note: The positive cable must not come into contact with the ACC clip.

Now let's find an appropriate configuration option for the Intelligent Battery Guard.  Battery location and position differ depending on the vehicle, the Intelligent Battery Guard can be configured for various top mounting, side mounting, and chassis installations (see below).

A:  Connect the red/positive battery cable to the aluminum post on the outer bracket of the Intelligent
      Battery Guard.
B:  Connect the black negative battery cable to the negative post on the battery.
C:  Connect the clip end of the black ground wire to the clamp bolt on the negative post on the battery.

Step 3: Installing the vibration sensor

A.   Connect the blue accessory wire from the sensor to the pin on the Intelligent Battery Guard that is
      marked ACC.
B .  Connect the red wire from the sensor to the butterfly clip on the positive clamp that is attached to
       the Intelligent Battery Guard.
C .  Connect the black wire from the sensor to the negative post of the battery.
D .  Choose a flat and secure area as far as possible away from engine, clean the selected area with
       an alcohol  wipe, mount the vibration sensor using 2-sided type, pressing it firmly in place , or
       using a screw (not provided).

Step 4 : Installing the manual switch & buzzer

A.  The Intelligent Battery Guard is equipped with a manual on/off switch in case the remote control
      units is not  available.
B.  Press the switch button 3 seconds could easily switch on/off the power in turn. The manual switch
      is  recommended to install in a remote and secure location, in general we recommend to use the
      remote control units instead of the manual switch, it is easily to detach the manual switch from its
      white connection socket and store it separately in the glove compartment or in another secure
      location.
C.  The buzzer is equipped to test if the units is armed.
D.  Choose a flat and secure area under the hood (as far as possible away from engine , another
      recommendation is in the glove compartment ) , clean the area with an alcohol wipe, and mount
      the buzzer using 2-sided tape, pressing it firmly in place, or using a screw (not provided).

3. TEST INSTALLATION RESULT

Let's introduce all buttons & functions of the remote control unit before we test the installation result.

·  ARM Press and release this button in order to arm the unit. The unit then  becomes an anti-theft
        device.
·  RESET Press and release this button in order to disarm the unit and start the vehicle.
·  DISCONNECT Press and release the button in order to completely disconnect the unit and
        isolate the battery.
·  BUZZER TEST Press this button to verify whether the unit is armed. If the unit is armed, the
        buzzer will sound twice, If the unit is not armed, the buzzer will not sound.

Test “RESET” function:
Press and release RESET button, you will hear buzzer sound once “Bi” , then you can start the vehicle.

Test anti-theft function:
Press and release ARM button, you will hear buzzer sound twice  “Bi, Bi”, the unit enters anti-theft mode, you can not start the vehicle with the key, however, all electronic settings ( like radio, clock, CD etc )in the vehicle we be maintained and workable.

To start the vehicle & disarm the anti-theft function:
Press and release RESET button, you will hear buzzer sound once “Bi”, anti-theft mode is cancelled, you can start the vehicle, and all test finished.

Note: In daily use, the driver only need to press ARM button (hear “Bi” “Bi” ) after parking and press RESET button (hear “Bi”) before start.

To completely disconnect the battery
Press and release DISCONNECT button, the power will be completely disconnected, this may desirable in situations such as long-term parking ,storage etc. when the battery is completely disconnected, there will be no electrical power flowing to the vehicle. All electronic settings will need to be reset when the power is reconnected. When you need to reconnect the battery, press and release the RESET button on the remote control unit, the battery is reconnect and you can start the vehicle.

4. IMPORTANT NOTICE

In general, when the driver press ARM button of remote control after parking the vehicle, all settings of the vehicle will still work since The Eliminator designed 2A current flowing inside the vehicle to keep power supply for all Memory and alarm devices.

However, If the unit detects the battery voltage is less that 12V, it will completely disconnect the power to make sure the driver could start the vehicle next time, and the settings will be lost. If it happens, Press and release the RESET button of the remote control and wait 30 seconds in order to allow the computer to reset itself before start the engine. In case you need to keep one or two accessories always energized, connect the accessory directly to the positive post of the battery.

If a warning light for NO CHARGE or BATTERY WARNING illuminates on your vehicle dashboard, your vehicle will experience a complete loss of power unless the “NO CHARGE” problem is repaired immediately! This problem is unrelated to the intelligent Battery Guard and requires assistance from an Auto Technician.
